ProMultiVu

ProMultiVu provides an enhanced experience for spectators at major sports and outside broadcast events.

It uses live video, GPS information and background data; aggregated as programming content and delivered over Wi-Fi to smart phones, laptops and PDAs.

ProVision licenses the multicast technology, which is based on sending one signal to many receivers. But, unlike broadcast systems, specific groups of receivers can be targeted through their unique IP addresses.

The service allows spectators to get a richer experience from the event with a front row view of the action. And organisers gain new revenue opportunities from value-added services, which can be added to ticket prices, billed through smart phone applications and through advertising.

ProMultiVu

The service was originally demonstrated at the Belmont Horse Trials in 2007 and at both the 2006 and 2007 World Rally Championships.

Users were offered a choice of cameras stationed at the service park, multiple trackside locations as well as live in-car footage. Live video feeds were complemented by track position and timing information.
